SADIMET, OBREDIMET, CEAP, SWOC, PASTE. WTF?

You’re thinking I’ve lost it. This time, I’ve gone completely mad. Well, rest assured, I’m fine.

I admit, the title of this post might seem awkward at first glance, but that’s OK. Actually, I kind of want it to be like that.

Tuesday’s Broccoli Soup

Another week has passed.

  • In a never-ending (or is it?) race to find more oil, Russia is going to drill in the Arctic Ocean. I have no words for it.
  • Continuing from last week’s TBS, this report (PDF) deals with a survey of 173 bottled water products and states that 18% fail to list their source, 32% do not disclose any information about the treatment or purity of their water, and 13% even provide “water quality” reports that contain no testing results. But the costs for purchasing bottled watter are just the tip of the iceberg. Every year the fees for disposing empty bottles cost governments at least $42 million! And what’s more 44% of bottled water is sourced from the tap. [Read more...]
